When running a manual backup using Backup Buddy (iThemes) we are getting the following error:

Error #82389: A javascript error occurred which may prevent the backup from continuing. Check your browser error console for details. This is most often caused by another plugin or theme containing broken javascript. See details below for clues or try temporarily disabling all other plugins.

Details: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'value' of null.

    URL: https://DOMIAN.com/wp-content/plugins/call-now-button/call-now-button.js?ver=0.3.1.

    Line: 37.

When we hit OK on the error, the backup DOES proceed and works fine.

Is there a broken JS error going on here? Some sort of conflict?

Thank you in advance for a reply.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for reporting this! This is caused by a tiny bit of js that’s used for showing the character count when entering text for the button. If no characters are entered it encounters a value of null. I’m working on an update at the moment that will fix this. It’s nothing to worry about, but it shouldn’t be there obviously ?? A fix is on its way!

    Cheers,
    Jerry

    Thank you.

There is no need to load “call-now-button.js” on every backend/admin page – that is why its causing the issues, not just with BB plugin, hope to see this fixed in next releases.

And why was this issue marked resolved? You identified a problem, but it has not been resolved.

@absolut, thanks for your feedback. You’re absolutely right and this will be resolved in the next update.

@steve, my apologies. I’ve marked it as resolved for myself as it’s fixed in the upcoming update. But you’re right that it’s not the case in the current production version yet. I’ve remove the label for now.

    Cheers,
    Jerry
