Javascript error after adding GA tacking code

  • I’ve been using CF7 for a while now and everything has been working just fine. I wanted to add the new universal tracking code rather than redirecting to a thank-you page so I followed the instructions here: https://contactform7.com/tracking-form-submissions-with-google-analytics/

    After doing that, on submit, the thank you message doesn’t appear, resulting in multiple messages from people. I removed the code and everything worked fine again. With the Facebook tracking pixel I interested the code into the ‘message sent’ field instead of the additional settings. Should I do the same with the GA code? Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I am having exactly the same issue as you!

    When adding the Google Analytics code (on_sent_ok: “_gaq.push([‘_trackEvent’, ‘Contact Form’, ‘Submit’]);”)to the Additional Settings section the Message Sent Successfully message no longer appears. The information still shows in the fields and the email does send. But some people just keep clicking on the send button cause they don’t think it worked. Strangely even with the Google Analytics code entered the Verification Error still shows?
