Javascript error

Hi I’m getting a javascript error in firebug:
SyntaxError: expected expression, got ‘>’
with snippet:
fy=””;emailL10n.max_allowed=parseInt(emailL10n.max_allowed);>)}>)]}>)>)}}
Not sure how long it’s been there as I’ve just started working on the site for a new client.
All seems to be working so I don’t know what is broken.
