According to the page for contributed version of Plain Fields, it hasn’t been updated for several years and it warns that it might not be compatible with newer versions. That appears to now be the case.

Since it looks like you have the PRO version, you might try contacting the developer directly.

If the developer isn’t actively supporting the theme anymore, you can either migrate to a more modern theme, or roll back WordPress and stay at 4.2.2

It has nothing to do with the wordpress theme. these dropdowns are built into the specific page. please see the middle of the page…

Is the code in the button dependent on any external script? I copied that section of the source into a new HTML file and tried it and it doesn’t work.

Are you writing the code for the drop down or is something generating it?

Matt. thank you so much for trying to help me, I really appreciate it.

we created the code. nothing is generating it. I built the javacode script with a friend for my old site and we the moved it over to wordpress a few years ago. It’s worked flawlessly until the last WP update. I was on 8.0 and when it forced me to upgrade, the script broke…

any ideas? it must be something that WP doesn’t like with the recent update…

Can you make a standalone page with the code that I could look at and test? I couldn’t get the code to work even outside of WordPress.
