    Good afternoon
I am receiving this error when trying to install Jetpack.

“Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed Operation timed out after 15001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received]”

Have already asked my hosting to look at it and got this response

Thank you for your request, we do not support multiple concurrent PHP connections to our shared environment platform due to security risk. You may want to think to use another program instead of Jetpack or maybe think of getting a VPS that is not a shared environment platform. Thanks

Does anybody have any ideas on how I can overcome this or is my host correct and I can’t use Jetpack?

    Hi there,

Ask your host if they can change your site’s PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN setting to 2. This will resolve your issue. If they cannot due to the security reasons they mentioned, then you need a different hosting plan or a different hosting provider.

Thanks for your response. If I was going to do this myself where would I add this code? Sorry total noob and I can’t find any details anywhere with this information.

    Thanks

I don’t know each host’s settings and I believe that this is something that you can’t do yourself. Your host need to make that adjustment.
