Hi – I’m very new to WP and a novice. I’ve a website that I look after voluntarily for our local church.
We want the ability to allow our website visitors to be able to search for graves of their ancestors.
I have a csv file with details of each grave (name, dates, inscriptions etc) and I’ve imported it into WP using All Imports. I’ve used CPT to create a custom post for “Graves” and each post is a line from the csv file.

All works well, except I can’t search from another page. I was recommended Ivory Search which I installed. I created a Search Form, pointed it the “Graves” post and enabled the search for content in excepts, title etc.

I always get an error though “Nothing to Show Right Now”, even though I know I have posts with the surnames I am searching.

It’s hopefully something simple that I’ve missed, but any help appreciated.

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

Certainly, we can resolve this and make it work.

Could you please tell me whether surname is added in the post content and have made post content searchable in the search form includes section?

Have you created new search form or using default search form?

Are you using any other search plugin on your site?

Could you please share me the screenshots of search form settings and also share page URL from your site where it is not working correctly so that I can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,

    Thanks Vinod –
I’ve made some progress since your last message – and it looks like another search plug-in was causing issues.
I can now see some results so will keep at it to get to where I need to be.

    Thanks again

Awesome great to see you got the conflicting plugin found.

Please advise if you have more questions.

    Have a fantastic day!

Thanks all seems to be working okay – except I have a Ivory Search 404 “Not Found” message at the top of the screen…but I’m guessing it’s a setting I need to change, as everything else is working okay

Have you set anything in the plugin header option on the following path?

Ivory Search -> Settings -> Settings -> Header

Also if you are using any search form shortcode then please make sure the ID mentioned in it exists and valid.

Thanks Vinod – the Header settings were set to “None”..I changed it to Default Search Form, saved it, the 404 Error message disappeared and was replaced with a search box.
I then went back into settings and changed Header back to “None”…as I don’t want a search box at the top of my website.
It all appears to be working okay now.
    Thanks for the top support!
