I've really messed up… I think
-
Hello,
My name is Michael and I am very new to wordpress. I am a little bit computer savvy…. Just enough to get into trouble. I help run a 440 mile dog sled race in the Arctic Circle on the northwest corner of Alaska. Yes, we have internet (very slow); and No, we can’t see Russia (but almost). Russia is 90 miles from here.
Anyhow, I am trying to get our website running. There is another race in Alaska called the Kuskokwim 300. We are great friends with them and they have been kind enough to share their website code and stuff to help get us off the ground. So we have a godaddy account, and I was trying to get teh wordpress thing going. In doing so I was copying and pasting the code from the K300 site that was emailed to me into our K440 wordpress site in the theme functions edit area. I am quite sure that there are more than a few people cringing out there, though I am way to naive to know what was about to happen.
Upon trying to navigate away I got an error line that said “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in D:\Hosting\7544593\html\wp-content\themes\aurelia\functions.php on line 2”.
So after going back a few times I closed the window, hoping to open a new window and log back in a then attempt to fix it.
Now when I go to https://www.kobuk440.com/wp-admin I get the same Parse error message. Does this mean anything to anyone?! I am hoping and praying that there is a way out of this problem.
PLEASE HELP, please.
