I’ve Never Seen This – Please Help
-
I know my way around wp fairly well, but I’ve never seen this and could use some advice.
I went into an old post to update some old information (the original post was right about a year ago). I hit update, then went to view it and got the “Not Found” message.
Hmm…. I thought.
So I tried to restore it to the original knowing that would fix it.
Still says, “Not Found”
Now I’m getting a little worried. After 20+ minutes of trying to get it back, here’s what I have know.
1) The post and all the comments are still there – I can view them as normal when in the admin area
2) If I change it to “Pending Review” and hit Preview, I can see everything
3) When I hit Publish and go to view it – Nothing is there.
4) I’ve cleared browser cache/cookies, etc.
5) If I try to modify the permalink, and hit save, it goes back to the original permalink (like it is completely ignoring my change). I tested this with another post, and changed the permalink and it DID recognize the change and update the permalink. With this post, I cannot change it as it goes right back to the original perm.As it sits now, I’ve got a post that says “not there.”
I am at a complete loss as I was doing something I’ve done a thousands times before with absolutely no problems. I literally just added a few lines of text and hit the “Update Post” and got what I’ve described above. Does anybody know how to get my post back for others to view?
