And screw up the coding on my theme apparently. I added one line on the 5th line of the function php, and when I got an error message, I tried to back up and reinsert the original coding, but the site wont let me back in now.

Can someone please help me? I need instructions on how to at least get in my dashboard. It would be really, REALLY, appreciated.

    Much thanks.

  • You’ll need to download and figure out how to use an ftp client. You’ll probably want to use filezilla as it’s the most popular client. Here’s instructions for use.
What you’ll need to do is go into your wp-content then to “themes” then the name of your theme, then open the functions.php file and remove your modifications.

You rock and roll my friend! That worked perfectly! All the best to you!

FTP is your best friend, but use it responsibly. You can delete every file on your server should you feel so inclined. It’s the uber-backdoor.
