I’ve lost my 2nd factor for my (only) admin user. I have SQL and file system access. How do I turn 2nd factor off ?

If you have access to the database, you can find twofas_light_totp_status meta key in the wp_usermeta table and change its value to totp_disabled. After you log in to an administration area you can reset your configuration.

In 2FAS (without Light) which is our primary plugin for 2FA we have backup codes which can be used in such cases. If you are interested in, you can check it out.

We have also our own mobile application for generating codes. Currently we’ve been working on backup codes feature in the application so you will be able to store codes on our servers. It will appear in the next version of application.
