itunes:title tag missing?

Yes, the “itunes:title” tag is controlled by the episodes tab > show filed pulldown for the apple tags. Apple will not remove you for not having those tags as long as you have the item’s Title tag (from WordPress). They just prefer their own tags. Those fields are not really used by other directories or apps. (there might be one somewhere but none of the major ones).

I’m using CPT UI plugin in order to create custom post type for my podcasts (to avoid other blog posts from entering feed). Everything validating fine except “itunes:title tag missing” – and I can’t see anywhere to get that info entered.

Hopefully you can point me in the right direction. THNX!

Once you have “show field” in the PowerPress Settings > Episode tab for the “itunes title” tag. Then in the podcast episode box for each episode post there is a spot to put the title.

BUT, again, nobody REQUIRES that tag. The validator might suggest you put one in, but it will work fine without it.

It’s a PULL DOWN. Scroll down and look for “Hide Field”? and pull it down to “show field”.??

What version of PowerPress is that?

8.0.2 is current.

Also, it is not required (again) to have that tag. Just a suggestion by CastFeedValidator.com
