So here’s the response I was given on the Apple discussion thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7575055

Apparently iTunes doesn’t like the redirect link this plugin uses for the audio files.

I’m still having this issue. I have updated and attempted to validate the feed. iTunes is still giving the same error message.

Updated to newest version and still getting same error from Podcasts Connect.

I believe I may have figured out the issue, but I’m not sure if it’s a bug or not.

When I was adding the podcast media url I was leaving off the domain name since it’s also hosted on our website (/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/03-13-2016-1.mp3). I went back and added the full url for all the podcasts and when I attempted to validate, iTunes took it.

So I’m not sure if this is a plugin issue, an iTunes issue, or both.

That field requires the full URL of the podcast file. There isn’t anything in the documentation or the UI that would suggest you could put a partial URL in there, so in this case it was just a matter of not having the correct input in the field. This isn’t an issue with the plugin or iTunes – just an instance of incorrect input ??

Time to implement a query if the input starts with http or https – just to prevent this. ??
