• This was previously answered regarding the Episode Image.

I’m actually referring to the iTunes Poster Image not the Episode Image. The iTunes Poster Image is listed just BELOW the Duration label and above the Media Embed box on the old interface. It say’s Poster image for video (m4v, mp4, ogv, webm, etc..). That’s the link I need to insert. It’s not restricted to being square.

    Thanks for your help
    Rick

    Hi Rick,

    Thanks for using PowerPress!

Today, we released PowerPress 8.2.2 to address a few bugs, including one that was hiding the poster image setting from all new posts.

If you update your plugin to this newest version, you should see the poster image setting just below the “Apple Podcast Episode Artwork” setting in the “Episode Artwork” tab, so long as you are using a video file for your media (one with any of the file extensions you listed above). This setting will still be hidden from posts with audio-only media (ex. mp3 files).

Please let us know if you’re still having issues after this update. Thanks!

    Hi Ben,
I just updated and the option to add the Image File for video is there (even though I am using an MP3 file). That’s exactly what I needed, please don’t change it. You may want to change the Info popup from “This setting is displayed because your podcast media is a video file.” to something like “This artwork only shows up if the podcast media is a video file”. Thanks for including it. You guys are the best at support.

    Hi Rick,

You can download a version of PowerPress 8.2 that displays that poster image setting for all files (including mp3 and other non-video) at the following link:

    https://create.blubrry.com/wp-content/downloads/powerpress-8.2.25.zip

In the version of PowerPress we put on WordPress today, if this setting is displaying on a post with an mp3 file, this is a bug. We will be [intentionally] displaying the poster image setting for all posts again starting in PowerPress 8.3, which should be out early next week. We wanted to send you this version in the meantime to make sure you don’t run into issues with your poster image between now and then.

Thank you for your feedback and for bearing with us as we work to improve our plugin!
