iTunes podcast tags

I would like to add the iTunes tags to my RSS feed , as suggested in https://phobos.apple.com/static/podcast_specifications.pdf

I tested the feed by subscribing to it through iTunes 4.9; it works, but the the way the tags are interpreted by iTunes messes up things quite a bit (title etc.)

Does anyone know how to do this?
