It’s possible to install it in two wp installation, one is in a subdirectory?

I have a WordPress installation in domain.it and an other separate WordPress installation inside the subdirectory domain.it/en/ for the english version. It’s not the multisite version of WordPress.
Have I to install the plugin only in the main directory version ? or it’s possible install the plugin in both of them. And it’possible to prevent the notice of installation on the smartphone if the pwa has already been installed for one of the two website language versions?
