After having waited that the plugin parsed the whole website I realized it only checked external links.

I’m actually more interested in internal ones.

Is there something in the settings I’m missing?

  • Hi @lucio7,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Yes, the plugin will check both internal and external links. It scans all links that are located on the post_content table, so as long the link is saved in the database it will be able to check.

There are certain restrictions like it can check links within short codes. The plugin is verifies the destination link and check the response and report any non 200 response.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Best,

    Hey Dimitris,

It’s not solved, the only broken links it’s showing are either to Amazon (98%) and not broken, or external ones -those are correctly broken-.

Still waiting and hoping that eventually it will start showing internal broken links.

    Hello there @lucio7

Amazon is having some limitations and their links cannot be checked by plugins like ours, thus the results. In order for this to work well, a special integration should be made on our plugin, using their own API, similarly to what we do with YouTube videos for example.

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    Hi @lucio7,

As stated due to the limitation you can exclude Amazon links from being scanned, ie under Settings > Link Checker > Which Links To Check, and by adding the Amazon domain to an exclusion list

Since we haven’t heard from you in a while, I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now. Please feel free to re-open the thread or open a new ticket if you need any further assistance.

    Hey Nithin,

It wasn’t “stated” anywhere here that one can add domains to be excluded -albeit I might have realized that by myself or maybe checked somewhere in the documentation-.

And after weeks of not checking a single internal link, I finally deactivated the plugin.
