Works ok. There’s one thing that’s irritating me…

Something that should be addressed is if the visitor already “liked” the post (even if they “liked” on Facebook), they have to Un-like the post then re-like the post to gain access to the content.

    Scenario:
You share your blog post on Facebook.
A visitor “Likes” the Facebook Status
The visitor clicks through to your blog post
The visitor already “liked” the Facebook status, which is the exact same like button that the Like Gate puts up.
This means they already liked the content.
Now they must unlike the content and re-like it in order to be able to see the hidden content.

The plugin should be able to detect who already likes the content and automatically open the content for those who like the content already.

Otherwise, it’s a very cool plugin!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the review.
That is correct. The only way to access the previous likes is IF and only IF the user authorizes you or an app to access that info.

If the user has liked the page and comes back to the same page then the hidden content will be revealed.

    No, no.

The content wont be relieved if the user returns to the same page after “liking” the content. They have to click the little “x” on the “Like” box to unlike the content, then re-“like” the content in order for the hidden content to show again.

If the visitor already “liked” the content previously and visit the page again, they may be confused as to why they can’t see the content.
