• Hi there,

First of all, thank you very much for this awesome plugin.

I would like to know how to make it work with the default blog posts archive, it seems like there is no option to activate it for the wordpress default blog posts and it only works with custom post types.

Kindly suggest me some workaround or provide a code snippet to activate the filter widget for the default blog posts.

    Thanks
    Wasim

  • Same here. I am a total newby (one month of skill;-) but sounds like ye have to customise something first which is not described in the get started.

I am stuck on the instruction :

Select the types of posts you want to filter on.
Note: if the publication types are not connected to one or more taxonomies, you will not see any results.

As far i know, the “Articles” post type is automatically connected to my taxonomy (i have only one).

So why nothing appear as a type of post in the basic setting of “Filter and Taxonomy.

What surprise me is the doc is saying that it is very simple to install…

    Sorry for the frenchglish language…

    Hi both!

BTF does not support standard posts and pages because those have very unique rewrite rules in WordPress Core that is not easily modified while making sure not to break anything. There’s also info on this in the FAQ section.

I’ve toyed with the idea to have it as a feature where I turn off the custom rewrites because then it’d work pretty easily BUT that would basically take away what makes BTF great (the B is for Beautiful). In that case there’s a bunch of other filter plugins out there with much more functionality than BTF which can be used for this case.

    Best of luck!
