• Hi Guys.
I need some help / advice regarding a website i have that uses a SSL.
I’m not an expert in using SSL’s and have a clients website that is a fairly busy ecommerce wordpress site.
When i setup the SSL, which wasnt really needed as we are using Paypal and sagepay so all payments and details are not taken on the website, but the client wanted it as it gives a bit of assurance to the customers.
Anyway when i set up the SSL i was getting lots of errors from browsers saying parts of pages were not secure, so it didnt look good from a customers perspective with an exclamation mark in the browser bar.
so i added the SSL insecure content fixer plugin and the WordPress HTTPS plugin to try and resolve these issues, which it has.
The thing is we only really need SSL on the home page, registration page and cart / checkout pages, and i really dont want too many plugins on the website.
Am i right in saying that itemes security can do what these 2 plugins are doing?
Any advice would be really appreciated
    Thanks

  • iThemes really doesn’t fix content items that are hard coded to http (like SSL insecure content fixer). It in general handles security related issues. Some https features (ex. Force admin traffic over https) are included in the plugin but it won’t replace both of those.
