Hi, I changed my WordPress domain name through database then i found that ithemes plugin has been reverted back to its default configurations settings and all my settings have been lost. I have no idea why this is happening so I am hoping you could help me in this issue. I am using ithemes version: 8.1.7

Hi @khloudagamy, apologies for the delayed response! In your case, I’d suggest configuring the iThemes Security settings again. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. we already did that, but will it get cleared our configuration again if we needed to change the sub/domain in the future?. Or in another words, with each domain change will we need to reconfigure everything again?

    thank you.

@khloudagamy per our developer, the plugin settings aren’t tied to the domain name at all. Could you please confirm if the settings were saved before the domain name change? Have you made any other database changes when the settings reset back to default?

    Hello,

Yes, the settings were saved and we were using it for a long time before changing the domain name.
No, we didn’t make any other database change when the settings reset back to default. The only change we made on database was changing our domain name.

Hi @khloudagamy, if URLs were replaced in the database, it’s possible that the Security settings were corrupted somehow. It shouldn’t happen if a tool like WP-CLI is used properly, but if just a simple find-and-replace is done, it could cause an error.
