• Hi

After years of working well the “Hide Backend” function does not send me to the login page when entering the appropriate “Login Slug”. I am just taken to a page that says

    Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

I have checked the settings for “hide backend” and they have not changed – any ideas!?!?
    I have WordPress 5.5.3
    and iTheme Security 7.9.0

  • Mod_Security is an Apache (web server) module. So IMHO this is probably a server-side (Apache) issue. Probably best to contact your hosting provider.

To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

@nlpro thanks for message, think it may be my ip being blocked as the login page works as expected via other sources/networks. Will check with my host to see if they can shine any light. As far as I can tell mod_security is not featured on my cPanel but it may be hidden away somewhere!
