When moving a definition to the trash, they still appear on the list of items like if they where published, that is the list that loads when clicking on a letter “?az=”, the only way I found them not to show is to empty the trash.

This seems as a bug since if they are in trash they should not show as published, also even if they show on the list when clicking on the erased items they go to a 404 page.

    Hi,
this seems an issue in yyour WordPress installation as that behavior is managed by WordPress itself.
My guess is that you have a caching system that get purged only when you clean the trash and not just when you change the status to trashed post type.

Well it is not cached and I just also tested it on a fresh clean localhost install and it happens as well if I go to a link like the following https://testsite.local/definitions/?az=B if I change the end to any other letter if there was an item sent to trash, it will display on the archive page, for the record it would not show on the shortcode page, just the archive page when loaded with the “?az=” variable.

I investigated the issue and I was able to replicate it.

I am releasing now a new version with the bugfix.

    The bugfix version was released.
