    Ever since WooCommerce added the option to restrict coupon codes to certain email addresses, I have been using it without issue. I don’t know how long ago this behavior changed, but now all coupons show “No restrictions” for emails where there used to be several. When I add an email address, it appears to try to update, but the field again becomes blank with “No restrictions.”

    I tried updating to the newest WooCommerce, but after I did I could not log into my site — instead got “Forbidden” error. Backdating to 8.4.0 let me log in again. I have seen this question posted before, but no solution given. Any help would be much appreciated.

    I tried searching for my email address, which should have been in there several times.

    MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). (Query took 0.0001 seconds.)

    Can I look for a meta_key that should have an email address in its meta_value?

    Could you please confirm again by checking the wp_postmeta table for the following data?
    These entries are created when a new Coupon is created.
    They should appear at the bottom given there is no other activity on the site.

    In the screenshot below I created two coupons
    The second coupon has two emails in the restriction field.

    I want to check if only email entries are missing or if all coupon entries are missing.
    Please let me know about your findings.

    The emails added do work correctly at checkout.

    I see that expanding the “Meta List” block when editing a coupon shows the contents of the record. Watching this, it apparently can change the allowed email, but cannot add one or remove any.

    So the problem seems to be that the email field does not display the contents of the customer_email field in my case. The browser console does not show any errors, but does indicate “JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.4.1” and “3PC blocked” and “admin-bar-v2.js:465” — is that useful?

    I checked on my website (where the email field is working as expected) and I also get “JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.4.1” and “3PC blocked” on the console, but not “admin-bar-v2.js:465”.

    This last message might indicate an error.

    If you click on it, does it expands with more information? If it does, can you share a screenshot with us?

    Do you mind trying another browser to see if the issue persists?

    I do not have any extensions active in the browser. I did clear the cache using the item in the Develop menu, and have quit and restarted the browser.

    Now that we have determined that this issue is specific to the Safari browser on a Mac, it would be helpful to know if this also happens on a different Mac device.

    Do you have access to another Mac with a Safari browser?
    If yes, then could you test this issue over there?

    We have not received any other complaints about the email field in coupon settings.
    This may be a device+browser specific problem.

    Thank you for staying with me on this! I do have a laptop running a previous version of macOS, and the problem is still there with Safari 17.5. Given that it’s not machine-specific, it must be reproducible on other Macs under certain circumstances.

    For extensions, I did have three that were listed relative to Parallels Desktop and Parallels Toolbox, but they were unchecked. I uninstalled those components and restarted, but the problem is still there. I also tried disabling AVG Antivirus for web and email, and that made no difference.

    Another user posted about this last week. It seems it is a but with Safari and rendering email inputs with?multiple?enabled.

    They shared a possible workaround for this, but it involves custom code.

    I’ll share the custom code they shared below, in case you want to try it. But please note that we are not able to provide support for custom code, so we can’t assist with any issues related to this code.

    Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.
