The support for italics in captions and descriptions was disabled intentionally due to changes in WordPress code requirements. As a result, we had to implement temporary modifications to ensure compatibility and stability within the current gallery version.
Unfortunately, re-enabling this feature in the current version isn’t straightforward due to the way the codebase is structured. However, we’re very excited to let you know that we’re nearing the release of a major new version of Robo Gallery. This update will include a host of new features, such as a completely redesigned grid with new layouts, an advanced lightbox, enhanced album functionality, improved navigation, new hover effects, and a powerful gallery conversion tool for easily switching between gallery types.
Once this new version is live, we’ll be in a much better position to revisit the issue with italics in captions and descriptions. We plan to implement the functionality in a more robust way that aligns with modern WordPress standards.
