IT WORKS! – with some caveats

Other comments here about “button doesn’t work /no button…” – I would guess ares due to implementation issues, since the plugin does work. I’m using WP 4.2.1 and the button works fine – although I always work in text mode so instead I use the [tooltip] shortcode…

SO yes, it works great!

Caveats:
~ the option to use rel=”tooltip” and title=”(tip text)” on other tags has some issues
~ when the tooltip-linked text is near the top of the browser window this script continues to display the tip balloon above – so it is partially or entirely offscreen; it should detect the browser position and switch to displaying below etc. (another script I tried did so, but had more serious issues and I happily settled for this one)
