    I design my own themes in Artisteer; the various plugins to disable comments, still left a 1.5-inch footer of blank space with the words “comments are closed” in it.

    While leaving a single plugin in place to disable comments, I then added yours, and all these awful footers were cleaned up. I combined your brilliant plugin with the “No Page Comment” plugin by Seth Alling.

    If yours didn’t seem to work for some people, perhaps they didn’t realize it takes TWO plugins, yours + a plugin to first disable the comments.
