• There’s no reason that a simple table of contents plugin should be loading 3 separate javascript per page.

    Thanks

JS Cookie, Smooth Scroll, and Sticky Kit, all necessary to support user-requested features.

All of which should be optional. Most site owners don’t need page location cookies for their users.

There are other alternatives plugins if this does not meet your needs or requirements … A couple of small scripts are a non-issue, especially with the utility plugins that most sites run for minification and concatenation of site assets. Not to mention http2 and browser caching, which means in most cases, the site’s assets are only ever fetched from the site once.

    You’re making a lot of assumptions/excuses.

Bottom line: For anyone looking for a simple (dare I say “easy”) table of content plugin that won’t affect page speeds, go with an alternative.
