It works, but I don't agree with the religion infused about page

Yes, the plugin does what it says it does. Not in the most intuitive way, but it enhances websites that need special Role- and Posts management.
But what’s with the About page (a sub menu in the Press Permit sidebar menu)? Apart from the message the plugin author has written there – which is completely off limits to any site that you ever develop for a client – an earth picture, an ugly green box, “giving” hands?
I have nothing against religion, but you push your religion (including links to a bible site) upon me and my WordPress Dashboard and upon the back-ends of the sites of my clients. That is just not done and uncalled for.
What happened to plugin developers adhering to WordPress’ standards?
If the plugin developer is truly doing this (developing a plugin) to give back to the world, then he would not have to need to mention that it is part of his agapé try.
My suggestion would be to leave out the reasons for his “giving back to the world”-part as all plugin developers do that, each for their own reason. If we all would add about pages filled with reasons why, then the WordPress plugins landscape would soon turn into a landfill…
