This started with why can’t I login with Waterfox (Firefox variation) because it claims cookies are not enabled. (They are.)

I logged in thru Chrome and upped up my settings lest I get blocked to continue my fight in my preferred browser.

After fighting and fighting (and deleting cookies thru an odd route) I got in. I have seen some weird issues people are having with test cookie and thought that was it. But then I found this and am thinking it suspiciously odd timing.

Looking in Wordfence I found that next to the Chrome logins it said I was a PERSON.

But next to Firefox it showed the ‘BOT’ symbol

Browser: Firefox version 0.0 running on MacOSX
    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0.4 Waterfox/56.0.4

Can someone please tell me how to convince Wordfence my web browser is not a bot? Whatever this is, it only started recently. Very likely after the major makeover to the plugin.

    Thanks

Hello. The same thing happened to me. I’m not a techie so it took me at least 2 days to figure it out. What I did was:

    1) In the Admin Dashboard of my website, I clicked on WORDFENCE, then ALL OPTIONS

    2) Then, in the WHITELISTED URLs section:
    — In the “Add Whitelisted URL/Param,” I entered my website’s URL in the URL box, and my site’s IP Address in the PARAM NAME box, then I clicked the ADD button

I don’t know if this is going to be a temporary fix but it worked! You can also email Wordfence Support (which I did not do) to get the more proper way to do it. I hope it will work for you.

    Hello @starhorsepax2
I believe clearing cookies and cache from your browser should fix the cookies issue you have (which has nothing to do with Wordfence).
Regarding getting blocked from your website, you should check the Live Traffic feed and filter the traffic by “Blocked” or “Blocked by Firewall” to know the exact reason regarding why you are getting blocked.
For the human/bot detection, could you please try different browsers and confirm that this issue only happens with Waterfox browser? also, try visiting this website and let me know what you will get in the User Agent field there.

    Thanks.
