When I first activated Polly, it worked.

Now, I tried to connect it to iTunes and was able to but got an error message “Can’t download episodes from your feed.”

I went back to one of the posts with Polly and while the player is there, when I click it, nothing happens.

I tried on Chrome and Safari. Same result.
I’ve navigated to someone else’s post with Polly on it and was able to play that so it’s not an issue with my browser/computer.
I tried disabling Pollycast but it didn’t fix the issue.

An update, I saw a similar topic here, the issue there was the secret key.

So I created a new set of access/secret keys and plugged those in. It did not solve the issue.

There is a message that the keys are not required if I am using IAM roles. AWS documentation says something similar but I can’t find any instructions on what has to be done differently if I am using IAM roles. It only says, “If you are hosting your WordPress site on Amazon EC2, you can use IAM roles instead of credentials. In that case, leave these two fields blank.” (here)

Yes, I am hosting my site on EC2 and I created a role for Polly but how do I use it in the plugin? If I leave those fields blank, I get a “Can’t connect to AWS” error.

I get no errors if I use access/secret keys. Polly shows up on the posts but doesn’t work.

    Someone, please help.

I found what the issue was. It is a bug. I’ll create a separate topic for it.
