it slows down my site

  • Hello,
    i analysed my sitespeed, which a month ago broke down from 1sec to 6sec.
    Using GTMetrix Waterfall analysis, i see WP Statistic causing 5 sec of delay. That was′nt so in the past.

    I had a screenshot for you, but of course you can test it yourself.

    Is it something, that i can change?
    Or do you have re-code something?

    additional infos:
    PHP 7.4.5
    MySQL v5.7.28
    WP Statistics 12.6.13

    I experienced the same thing except GTMetrix reported the WP Statistics JavaScript file took 9 seconds to run! Given this plugin hasn’t been updated in 3 months, I decided to remove it and am currently evaluating other statistic options.
