Missing symbol button in your content editor

I noticed one button missing from your content editor, that for symbols. I know you’re supposed to be able to do symbols using windows, but for some reason it doesn’t work for me. I prefer to use the TinyMCE button for symbols, and that so I can insert a certain ligature.
Why?
Because certain words I will be putting into a post use that ligature. The subject I’m working on has words using that ligature and there are people reading my blog who insist I spell certain words right. Please, add the button for your next update.
