    Erm… it doesn’t work.
My idea is to create a password for multiple pages on the site that changes monthly – perfect application of the master password.
    It just doesn’t work.
I’m on the latest version, I’ve cleared my cache.
I’ve protected the pages I want to apply it to, I have created the password in the settings, I have selected the correct post type.
I don’t see why this shouldn’t just work.
    What are my steps here?
Suprisingly, the documentation doesn’t have a page called “What to do if it does nothing”.
    Thanks

  • Hi @mrfresch,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It looks like you’re using Master passwords to unlock your protected pages, aren’t you?

Actually, with PPWP Lite/Free, Master passwords can unlock Posts only.

In case of Pages, you should create passwords under Edit page’s screen instead or upgrade to PPWP Pro.

Anyway, do you mind sharing with us what you want to achieve with our plugins, e.g. your use case, in more detail?

You might also want to go to our live chat or drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.

    Hi @mrfresch,

Hope you’re doing well as usual.

We haven’t heard back from you for a while now. So we’d like to follow up and see how things are going.

Does our answer make sense to you?

Is there anything else that we can do to help, @mrfresch?

Please reply to this support thread or drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Even when ‘Entire Website’ is selected, the password applies to only the home page. By typing the url we can go to other pages, without the password.

Also the password is again requested, if we come back to the home page again, after entering the password initially.

    Hi @sitesdain,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

At first glance, it could be a caching issue.

We’ve just replied to your support request via email.

Could you please check and let us know if you got it?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

Yes, I am in receipt of it. Thanks.

The form width do not seem to be adjustable separately for Desktop, tablet and mobile. Is it a known issue ?

    Hi @sitesdain,

We can help you make the password form responsive with some CSS.

To do that, please send over your protected site URL.

Anyway, could you please reply to our support email so that we can assist you faster?

Have you got the initial issue resolved, by the way?

    Ok. That would be great.

I find the caching issue not so prevalent if I deactivate the PPWP plugin; so probably there is something to be resolved in PPWP.

Also guess there is more freedom needed in the form alignment; currently the text and images overlap and are not having a common vertical centre. So I had to avoid all texts and images from the form.

BTW, I dont have any support email other than the ones from WP.

    Thanks,
    SD
