• Google requires that any paid link (i.e affiliate links) will be a ‘nofollow’ link, and Kadence theme doesn’t have this option!
I mean thats the most basic thing. how an online marketer can use this theme?!
the most disappointing thing is that Kadence have a request to add this (rather simple) option in their forum since 2019!
its been 3(!) years and this option still doesn’t exist.

after moving from Astra to Kadence now I need to do this move again simply because the theme is USELESS for anyone who wants to add affiliate links to their site

    thank for nothing Kadence

  • Hey!

I am here to help ??

Adding nofollow to links inside of the block editor is not something that is controlled by themes. Themes hosted on www.remarpro.com are not allowed to add settings like this to the block editor core components.

So when you want to add no follow links into your post or page content through the editor interface it’s best to use a plugin (you can do this manually but that is not ideal or realistic). There are a lot of plugins that do this, for example, most SEO plugins. I suggest rank math.

Below is a screenshot of the default block editor link controls:

And here is a screenshot using RankMath:

You mentioned that you found a request on our forum from 2019. That is not the correct context. The Kadence theme was not released until September 2020. The context of that request was likely a different theme or plugin and not related to the Kadence Theme.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We are happy to offer free support here in the support threads for the Kadence Theme.

    All the best,

    Ben
