    hi,

were it gives the number of missing monthly visitors?

    thanks

    Here. As you can see up to 750 followers per day. 750 x 9 = 6750 + 473 = 7223. However, it seems 5747 results. Greetings.

what methods of calculation are you using?

It is “Visits calculation method” in Option and has:

    • Simple sum of distinct IPs (Classic method)
    • Sum of the distinct IPs of each day (slower than classic method for big database)

The first sum the unique IP in a months, so it is different form the sum of each unique IP a day like the second.

It seems you need the second methods (it is less tested that the first so if you are using already it maybe it has a problem).

I’m using it: “Visits calculation method: Simple sum of distinct IPs (Classic method)“. In addition, Days number in Overview graph: 7 and elements in overview (default 10): 10

    hi,

try the second methods an see the result (query is not jet optimized, so it is more slow).

So now I’m trying this: Sum of the distinct IPs of each day (slower than classic method for big database) I hope, It recovers.

Here you can see, I use the second option, but the situation has not changed. The number of visitors per month is still 5973. However, 750 x 9 = 6750 + ( and Visitors today) 782 = should be 7532.

    hi,

maybe I miss where you get that data, as the link post to the site directly.

The option we look before works into dashboard and overview graph.
Where did you get that data?

    Thread Starter filozof58

    (@filozof58)

Looks information on the site home page. Of course, there are also the same informations in the admin panel. It also contains the same data.

Here everything look very clear. 750 visitors per day coming. That makes 10 days 750 x 10 = 7,500 weekly visitors. However, these figures, add-ons (monthly) 6039 looks. This is wrong. Also, if you pay attention, visitors yesterday 846 people, it seems today’s 21. What does the total? 867 What’s the painting? (Weekly) 846 seems. Where is 21? That is problem. Greetings.

    Hi filozof58,
I didn’t follow closely your problem (I don’t success to see the figures), but according I understood you just say monthly visitors are not fitting : there is not missing people, it’s quit normal. Indeed, the counting method considers several visits from the same IP like unique visitor on the month.
We will try to give a look for next version to extend the functionality of ‘Sum of the distinct IPs of each day’.

Yes, only Overview/Dashboard has the new option for IP counting, all the others are still with classic StatPress way, so even variable in Widget.

We must implementi it in next version

    Thanks
