@watwebdev Please don’t post links back to your site in reviews. If you want to post a review then please do. But keep it on the forums.

Hello Jan, I was not aware that was not allowed. Does it state that in the guidelines? If so, I can ensure we do not do that in future. However, our review included many items I couldnt include in the forum review and I felt it was helpful to the user as it includes all other google map plugins.
As a developer I can include links to premium features, but as a reviewer I can not include links to the full review of all other plugins, especially when this one does not work?

watwebdev, I don’t understand how you can just post a review that it doesn’t work when you have never even put in a support thread.

We have it working on 4 of our own websites, we built this plugin because a client needed these specific features, and it is working fine.
Further I don’t know where you get that we are not around as we have answered both thread for help we are the last respondents on both threads.

If you have a problem with the plugin please post a thread so we can help you sort it out, but don’t just give a bad review for the sake of talking.
    have a great day.

I just saw your review on your website:

    Your Review:
This is a fairly compact and featureless plugin. While I can add multiple stores to the store locator, it does not allow me to manually add longitude and latitude. Instead, it takes the longitude and latitude from the address of the store. This is a problem as it does not place the pin in the correct location for the store, only the location of the street and the pin can not be dragged to a new location.
None of the stores I added displayed on the map and the map controls were broken and stretched.

Bottom Line: It doesn’t work. Stores do not display on map and map controls are stretched. Also, the author does not seem to be on www.remarpro.com any more, so support is likely to be from other users.

the third print screen shows a picture of the actual plugin on the page but you did not put in an address, city or postal you just left it at 5km and clicked search stores you have to put in one of the following as the label says:
Postal/Zip, City/Province/State or Full Address: for example if you put in Toronto and click the search store button and there are no stores in that area it will say no results found.

So it does work as intended however you did not use it properly, so I think that you are miss leading people when you simply say it does not work, you did not use it correctly.

Also I do not get where you think we are no longer on wordpress as stated above our posts are the last posts on the two support threads.. you should remove that as it is a blatant lie.

I would just like to thank watwebdev for our recent conversations via email. I find him to be a well thought out individual in his approach to our conversations, he takes pride in his work and genuinely tries to keep the public informed so they don’t waste time. I wish him well with his new plugin release and future en-devours.

Hello AroundKW. I just wanted to quickly post a reply and say that we appreciate the work you have put into the plugin, the new features you released and are releasing in the near future.
We will be re-writing the review to reflect the latest changes and changing the star rating accordingly.

    Thanks again.

Mod, a few items if you dont mind.
    1) Can you please provide a link to the review guidelines / rules so that I know what is and is not allowed. I was unaware that I was not allowed to post links in the review. I checked the forum rules beforehand and saw no mention of it.
After all, it does state below the text box “Did you include a link to your site, so that others can see the problem?” which naturally leads one to think that one can add a link to where the issue can be seen.

    2) Is it possible to have the message earlier by AroundKW removed or edited. It is the one that stats with “I just saw your review on your website:”. Unfortunately, the content of the message is copied from our website.

    3) How can I edit or remove the above review once the developer releases the new version as I would like it to accurately reflect the current experience and features.

    Thank you so much

That’s on the presumption that the post is asking for support; whereas this is a review. Asking for support on the basis of a negative review is not very welcoming, we ask that you create a new thread for that on your plugin’s support section:

    Hi watwebdev
It seems you only have a 60 minute window to edit anything you have posted.

People: watwebdev has edited the review of our plugin on his website, so please disregard the thread:

I just saw your review on your website:

His website review has been updated to reflect the changes we made to the plugin and we have been in contact for over a week, I am fine with the results of our conversations and do not feel bad about the review he posted at all.

Mod, It would be nice to have that post removed though.

That’s not done, but the forum member who left this review can update it simply by following this link.

    @watwebdev to address your concerens:

Can you please provide a link to the review guidelines / rules

It’s not a rule as much as it’s an observation. Though I am thinking of adding that to the ever expanding Forum Welcome…

The reviews can be edited at any time by the reviewer. That has lead to forum members attempting to use the review section to generate link traffic. That’s just frowned upon and not condoned and is why links get redacted in reviews.

Some forum members have not gotten the hint and dialed the link thing up to “E-lev-en” and have been blocked from these forums. Spamming is really not allowed here. Note that I’m not accusing you of that, I’m just explaining the reasoning here.

If you want to leave a comprehensive review here then you can. I’ve done it myself and it’s not hard. If you want to leave a link that says “follow this link to read more” then yes, that will get redacted when found.
