    ok, I’m freaking out a bit so please forgive me if I am posting prematurely. My blog was there all day, I added a post this morning. I went to add a post this evening and it was there. I got distracted while I was sitting on my main page. I walked away and when I came back and hit Site Admin I got:

    It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php

    I tried closing the browser, then when I came back I got that for the main page as well. I clicked on the link for config.php and got:

    Already Installed
    You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.

    I changed computers which means that I also switched browsers and OSes. Same result.

    Any suggestions are appreciated. ahhh freakin’. off to go poke the blog, back in a few.

    Hmmm. Well, if this were me, I’d contact my host, inquire if they might have had a problem and ask if they’d uploaded an old backup.

    If the answer to that is yes, anything between today and whatever the date of the backup is, is gone unless you made backups of your database.

    dang, that’s what I’m afraid of. beyod that, everything else appears in place.

    Contacted my host. They had to get a specialist, the email me back and so on. Turned out my tables were corrupted. Fortunately they were able to recover them.
