    My blog was working last night, but then today, without me changing anything, it gives the following error:

    It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.

    I’ve already contacted my host (A Small Orange), and they weren’t sure what had caused it and suggested I post here. My database tables are intact, and using the “repair” option on them fixed a couple errors but didn’t bring my blog back. I’ve read through a lot of the previous posts on this subject but none of them provided a clear answer.

    Any ideas would be appreciated — thanks!

    Yeah … after 2 or 3 hours of waiting for a reply here, I went back to my host and had them restore my site from the previous night’s backup. This fixed the WordPress problem … and then a completely different problem with SFTP arose which led them, after about a day of testing/debugging, to change my database username.

    So it was a bit of a headache to go through all that, especially when I still don’t know what caused it in the first place. But, I’m glad it’s over.
