It does not work with contact form 7 latest version (5.1)

Confirming on my end, too. I have Contact Form 7 and this plugin installed on many sites, so there has been a pretty impact this morning after all the updates.

(@brettroby) uses wp rollback to reinstall the previous version of contact form 7

@alkemiko, thanks. I am hoping for a quick fix for this before risking rolling-back, as have also made the upgrade from reCAPTCHA v2 to v3 on all my forms as well. Because of the security nature of all of this, the risk is too high for me and my clients.

To make quick and easy updates to forms where Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7 plugin is doing its thing, I’ve found that deactivating the plugin will allow you to view the HTML code of the contact form. Once you have made the changes you need, the plugin can be reactivated again so that shortcodes will work on the website. The shortcodes won’t work while the plugin is deactivated so you have to make sure that you reactivate the plugin once you’re done editing.

sorry to read this guys, I guess cf7 v5.1 has some updates on the dashboard side of things which are not braking the smart grid…. I’ll take a look tomorrow morning (its late here in India) and will try to push a fix asap.

Forms dispaly online but I lost everything in admin … I don’t know how that’s possibile…
Please help

@wonderorsi, don’t worry; your stuff is most likely not lost. It’s just not seen in the admin panel while the plugin is active. Simply deactivate the plugin, then go back into the contact form admin, and you’ll see all the code for the form. Check out my message earlier in this thread.

If you need to make a quick edit, this is how you’d need to do it for now. Don’t forget to reactivate the plugin when completed so that the form loads for site visitors because the shortcodes you’ve embedded won’t work when the plugin is inactive.

Can also confirm plugin is broken, developer console log shows error.
