I’ve never tested with those plugins, or had a reason to. When you say “does not work” can you give me some more information on what does or does not happen?

After filling username and password the plugin (wpdirauth) already authenticates. The captcha (si-captcha ou captcha) is ignored. Just do not leave blank the capctha and authentication is done.

as of right now, no, it wont work with either of those captcha plugins. Redoing the authentication section is on my to-do list, and at that point, should work with those plugins.

jeanferreira, if I send you some beta code, would you be willing to test it?

    Hi,
yes I can do the test with si-captcha and captcha.

sorry for the delay. Can you give this version (1.7.16 beta) a test and see if it works with those captchas? I’m pretty confident it’s going to play nicely with Captcha by BestWebSoft, not as much with the other one, but would like to know if it doesn’t.

    With new beta version.

Captcha by BestWebSoft – work, but autentication failed (password error)
    si-captcha – not work

I’ll try to see the error in the log messages.

    Thanks.

Interesting. The only time you should get a password error is if the user is NOT an AD-auth user and the login failed.

    What happens with si-captcha?

    Hi

With wpDirAuth (7.1.16 beta), same situation. Si-Captcha works, but the failure authentication (password error).

With wpDirAuth (1.7.15), authentication is ok, but the captcha’s failed.

No errors in the log PHP or Apache.

Can you screenshot or copy&paste the exact error you are seeing?

    Message:
The password you entered for the username jeanferreira is incorrect.

When i use the admin user, which does not depend on ldap to authenticate, all works.

interesting. That error message is from wordpress, not from the wpDirAuth plugin, which means what I initially thought might work, wont. Let me think on it some more.

    Hi

After upgrading to new version, the captcha is working.
    wpDirAuth 1.7.17 -> 1.8.0 -> 1.8.1
    wordpress multisite 4.7.4

    thanks form your work!

Fantastic! As I mentioned, redoing that piece of the plugin was on my to do list, I just needed to find the time. Finally found it.

I’m also working on version 1.9.x which will include numerous hooks that will extend its capabilities.
