I configured everything with most of the default settings, but the plugin doesn’t work properly:

    • if I set a start point it keeps giving me “your location” is 20121 every time and I don’t understand
    • if I don’t set a start point, it tells me no results
    • if I enter the name of the city or the postal code in “your location”, it doesn’t give me any results unless I enter the city or postal code of one of the stores in the list
    • once I find the list of stores the opening times are not visible and if I click on more info it doesn’t show me anything

I use WordPress latest version on PHP 8.2

    Thanks.

  • Hi there, thanks for reaching out!

Well, I would need to take a look at the website where you have published the store locator to see if I can spot anything weird. The plugin comes with a lot of settings and it is necessary to get familiar with some of them to get the results that you want.

The start point, for example, is mandatory. That is, you need to introudce a default start point in the plugin settings, which will be taken into account for showing results on page load. Then, for subsequent searches, you also need to type a location or postcode in the search box to have a reference for that search.

Regarding not getting results when typing a location name in the search box, I would again need to have a look at the URL where the store locator is, I can find out if there is any misconfigurations.

As for the opening times not being visible, please take a look at this article in our documentation where we explain how to show it in the frontend.

About versions, the plugin is fully compatible with the latest WordPress (6.4.x) and PHP (8.3.X) versions, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Please get back and let me know where I can take a look at the store locator in your website.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I’m trying to send you a debug, the site is currently developed locally and is not available online; I saw the change for the times you reported to me but it is not my use case.

    Hello,

I installed your plugin again, the problems are as follows:

    • there is always this error: https://prnt.sc/KIS67HDoh9O4 I have not set a server key as I don’t need it
    • more info does not work correctly, i.e. this setting does not work: https://prnt.sc/id9rZL5wZg8T, instead if I use this setting: https://prnt.sc/MQmccQ1_-O4v everything works fine and I could also use it like this
    • for the starting point if I use these settings: https://prnt.sc/O_SNcAYPACOB it doesn’t work, the map is displayed like this: https://prnt.sc/o3fiWyXREn27, if instead I enter a correct Google map address in the start point it works but this problem occurs: https://prnt.sc/02Ft6o6rJtJp i.e. 2 pins appear on the same position, I would like to remove the start point pin if possible upon first loading and display all the points on the map with a complete view but I wasn’t able to do it, if I don’t set any initial point and deactivate “auto-locate” it gives me a map like this https://prnt.sc/eO4fV-ZYxU4i with no results and it’s not good
    • I haven’t found a solution to translate the timetables https://prnt.sc/v5leiel-qtg8 without having to install a translation plugin, which I don’t want to do since it is only needed for the timetables of this plugin

I await any response to resolve the small problems that occur.

    Thank you.

    Hi again,

Yes, you definitely need two keys, a server key and a browser key. Please follow our article on how to set up both API keys, since this is a fundamental requirement for using our plugin.

The map is not working properly because you have not set up a default start point, this is also a requirement and is also explained in our documentation.

For the translation of timetables, please take a look at our article on translations and i18n. There are multiple ways to translate all the strings in Wp Store Locator.

Maybe the easiest thing you can do, so you don’t depend on 3rd party plugins for the translation, is to use some open source software like Poedit and create your own .mo and .po translation files for your language(s) of choice. It is all explained in the article linked before, but get back to us if you have any issues when doing it.

I created a plugin myself using acf and javascript, this has too many bugs to be used; I can’t activate 10 different API keys on a project to do a simple thing where only one API key is needed.
