It does not convert to .webp or .avif

  • I used your plugin a few weeks ago and it worked well but after recent update it does not work anymore. Demo

    What should I do? or which PHP extension needs to get it working?

    Hi?@catuyen thanks for getting in touch and for sharing the information. The demo link you have shared doesn’t seem to work for me. Please can you share your?Site Health information?here?which can allow me to check your setup.

    Could you also share some of the images you were using once you changed the default settings that were only generating JPEG images?

    Please also note that if the WebP Uploads plugin has identified that the WebP version of the uploaded JPEG image would have a larger file size than the original JPEG image, the WebP version is not generated. This could be what is happening here.

    Please note also that AVIF images will be generated if supported on the hosting server, otherwise WebP will be used as the output format. When both formats are available, the output format can be selected under?Settings > Media. Modern images will be generated only for new uploads, pre-existing images will only converted to a modern format if images are “Regenerated”.
