It deleted data!!

  • This plugin might be useful for some, perhaps it needs updates.

    In my case it was a disaster, it deleted all my theme’s customization data! it also deleted data from other plugins, after enabled it immediately disfigured my front page and several of my paid premium plugins complained my license had expired etc. Crazy!

    Deactivating the plugin, even deleting it and cleaning all caches did not fix the mess.

    I had to go back to a backup I had from like 6 hours earlier, unfortunately lost several new user registrations ( ours is a community site)
    I would strongly advise anyone using it to MAKE SURE you create a backup of your whole site before playing around with it.

    I hate giving bad reviews, but be aware, the plugin has not been updated for a while you might have negative consequences like me.

    Hi @realact, really sorry to hear of your experience with it. We will more prominently display warnings about backing up (and/or using a staging site). We have not had reports like yours. We basically just manipulate the “active_plugins” option but do not modify other data in your WP install so I’m not sure what happened there. But any errors affecting a live site is obviously a huge problem :/
