    Hello there,
    Please help us.

We’ve installed your Polylang plugin but we have found another language translation plugin we’d like to test as well, to compare features and see which works best for us, but when we deactive Polylang to activate the other, to avoid conflicts, our website breaks…

Can you please help us? We’d really appreciate it!

    Hello,

As soon as you deactivate Polylang, WordPress will act as if you never activated it. If you have issues when deactivating Polylang, this is most probably because somewhere a Polylang function is used without checking that this function exists. This kind of issue generally comes from plugins, themes or custom developments forgetting to check that the function exists. See also the important notice there: https://polylang.pro/doc/function-reference/

    Hello there,

I’ve actually managed to find where that function was being called (we’ve edited the theme PHP to be able to have the footer line translated – the one that has the copyright symbol and such.

Removing that like and then deactivating the plugin actually kinda worked..
Seems strange that we had put that function there, when we could’ve just translated it manually or something else.

Well, it seems to be working now! Thanks for the help!
