Hey,

Our website is translated to 5 different languages and we’ve been experiencing lots of issues with your plugin. The meta titles and meta descriptions of our international blogs are now showing the English version and every time we try to change them, it changes the metas for English and all the other pages.

Any ideas of how we can change this? This is a huge issue for us and are thinking of switching plugins because of it.

We apologize for the difficulties the plugin is causing for you. We would like some more information.

1. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v14.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated? For example are you using the most recent WPML v4.3.14?

3. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

4. Can you provide a link that highlights the issue?

I just had the same issue and found out that WPML (I have WPML version 4.3.12 installed) is not completely compatible with the 14.x version of YOAST SEO. Reverting YOAST SEO to version 13.5 solved this problem.

Yeah, @pcosta88, I have everything updated to the latest versions. I’m not a fan of reverting to previous plugin versions so I got in touch with WPML about this and they mentioned to do this:

So I did this: https://wpml.org/errata/search-page-title-in-wordpress-yoast-seo-is-not-translating/ as WPML recommended but it’s still not working.

The site name has been translated but the meta title and description still appears in English (the original language). Any ideas how to fix this?

You should try to reset indexables. There are two ways:
