Issues with WordPress 5.5 and Catch Responsive 2.8.1

  • I just updated to WordPress 5.9 and Catch Responsive 2.8.1. Now the Customize area does not work. I click and it opens the sidebar, but then nothing loads in it. No sections that you can click to customize them. Nothing.

    Anyone else experiencing the same? Any way to fix this? Do we just have to wait for the CatchThemes team to catch and fix it? Any ETA on a theme update fix from CatchThemes?

    I checked with version 5.9 and it seems to be working fine. Can you try disabling the plugins temporarily using Health Check Plugin?

    Hi Pratik, thank you for your quick reply. I’ve read through the steps and rather than do this on our live site and disrupt things for visitors I’m going to create a staging site, see if it has the same problems and then do the steps there.

    Also another issue is on our home page we have a video, using the video blocks. It has disappeared from view. It’s still there but it’s not showing and there is not an empty space where it should be. So I’ll see if these steps take care of that or not and let you.

    Hi Pratik,

    On the staging site I set up even with all the plugins deactivated and using a default theme the issue with the Customize sidebar persists.

    Video not showing issue
    However, the issue with the video on the homepage did get cleared up just by changing the theme. I have activated the plugins, so it’s the theme that is causing issues with the video not showing up.

    I can give you a login to the staging server if you want. Let me know. I also don’t want to post the link here publicly so let me know how I can get that info to you privately.
