    Issues experienced with the woocmmerce paypal payments plugin.

    Will not allow debit/credit card payments when logged in to paypal account, will only allow payments if account is linked directly to bank account.

    User Story 
    
    As a user I want to be able to securely log into the website, select a competition and buy entry tickets.  I then want to be able to check out using my PayPal account to make the payment and be returned to the site. 
    
    Problem 
    
    When a user selects the PayPal option at checkout, they are taken to the PayPal screen where they are asked to login and then select their payment method i.e. credit card, they can add a card that they currently don’t have registered as well.  PayPal is NOT showing debit cards in this view, only credit cards. 
    
    When the user clicks on “Agree and Pay now” the PayPal screen will ask for the CVS number on the card for confirmation, once they enter that they are taken to another screen with no error message asking them to retry or add a new card.  The user is then stuck in a loop whereby no card they enter or try will work and the system simply keeps asking for them to retry or add a new card. 
    
    Required user flow: 
    
        User visits website 
    
        User logs in 
    
        User selects competition to enter 
    
        User answers question and adds the required number of tickets to basket 
    
        User checks out selecting either Trust Payments or PayPal 
    
        If PayPal is chosen, user will be asked to log in into their PayPal account 
    
        User will be asked to choose appropriate card or add one if they haven’t done so already 
    
        Payment should complete 
    
        User returned to website
    Steps to recreate: 
    
        Go to www.eqwincomeptitions.co.uk 
    
        Login/Create a user account 
    
        Select a competition you wish to enter 
    
        Answer question and add quantity of tickets your cart 
    
        Click on your cart on the top right of the screen 
    
        Click on “Proceed to checkout” 
    
        Complete billing information (auto populated from account) 
    
        Select PayPal from available payment options 
    
        Accept the terms and conditions (Checkbox) 
    
        Click on PayPal button to make payment 
    
        PayPal asks user to login 
    
        “Pay with” screen appears but does not show debit card, only credit card (despite debit card being stored in PayPal account and verified and the preferred payment method). 
    
        Click on “Agree and Pay Now”

        Page BreakPayPal asks for the card CVS number, entering this number moves the PayPal process forward to “Checkout Now” screen allowing them to retry or add a card.   
        No error message is reported at this stage.

        Clicking retry takes you to “Agree and Continue”

        Clicking on agree and continue takes you back to step 10.4 and user becomes stuck in a loop. 
    
        If, at step 10.4, user adds a card with valid details, for example a debit card, they receive a message stating that “Your PayPal account requires a funding source.  Please add a card to continue” and you are once again, in a loop.
