    I’m having two MAJOR issues when managing songs for my playlist. Both of these have happened multiple times as I’ve been working on this playlist this afternoon.

    #1: If I go in to update a song and click ‘Update’ after finishing editing, every song in the playlist becomes the edited song.

    #2: If I delete on song in the playlist, it deletes all songs in the playlist.

    I did update the plugin today in the midst of having these issues, with the hopes that it would fix the problem, but it did not. I have tried working it out in both Firefox and Safari, but both had the same issues.

    Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Also, when adding songs to the playlist it adds them in a random order. At first it would add them in the order I added them. Then, it started adding them backwards. Now, it’s adding them in a way that doesn’t make sense. They will be in order for 3-4 songs, and then the next song will be in the middle of the list or at the beginning.

    Wow ok that sounds like several major malfunctions.

    1. Please can you post a link to the affected site so I can view it?

    2. Are you using a Windows hosting server by any chance?

    A link to the site is vintageunited.tv.
    The specific page is vintageunited.tv/we_are
    The password to access that page is vintagearts.

    I honestly don’t know. I’m not very skilled in web and inherited the responsibility when a previous staff member, who created the template and theme, left.

    I asked, and I believe it is on a Linux server.

    Am having exactly the same problem…

    I have the same problem!

    Unix server.
    But I have the same problem using MAMP on my mac.

    Using wordpress 3.9.1

    Yep. I have the same problem as well. You update one song and it wipes out all the other songs in the list and replaces them with the updated one. The key thing is to make sure you don’t make any mistakes when creating a song list. Once you make a mistake, you must delete the entire list and start over again.

    Hey Guys, please update to version 2.6 which should fix this problem. Please let me know how you go.

    Thanks

    Just checked into this forum because I’ve now encountered this exact problem. Have just updated to version 2.6 and nothing has changed. Still cannot update a specific song. Always is defaulting to the first song on my playlist.
    I really do not want to delete the list and start all over. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    WordPress: 3.9.2
    Plugin: 2.6

    I’m chiming in because Chris_Wilson described by problems exactly. I wanted to update the Cover Image for some of my songs. I did so, and pressed the “Update Song” button. All songs changed to the one I had edited. When I tried to delete one, all of them went away. Like hindssites mentioned, it works fine if you don’t make any mistakes when entering your information. I’m not that perfect.

    Thanks.

    Ok thanks for reporting back guys. I’ve re-opened the issue and will take a closer look to see if we can nail this one down once and for all. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Any updates on this? Wanting to purchase the pro version, but its tough to justify with such a big bug

    Unfortunately I am unable to replicate the error. The plugin is used by over 100,000 people and only a very very small number of people (here in this thread) are experiencing the issue, so it’s really hard to work out exactly why that might be.

    Question for everyone here: What database prefix are you using for your site?

    Find database prefix in your wp-config file. The default is “wp_”

    Thanks for your patience everyone.

    mine is hosted by go daddy, so I have little control over how they have it set up, but here is the info from the wp-config.php file.

    /**
    * WordPress Database Table prefix.
    *
    * You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique
    * prefix. Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!
    */
    $table_prefix = ‘wp_8h4mvqn2at_’;

    Also, to note, when I first installed the plugin, I was getting a sql error at the top, but it has since disappeared so now I cannot tell you what it says. There are also some buttons that no longer work properly. For instance, not only does the update button not work, but if I am on an existing song and I click the add new song, it also breaks all my previous songs by making the all duplicates of the entry I was just on. The subsequent page then has an add song button, which does not work. You can click it all day and nothing happens. I’d be happy to get you additional info, but i’m relatively new to wordpress which makes it a bit more difficult.

    ahah, got the error message back by turning on debugging, but oddly enough, I haven’t ever touched the setting in the config file. In any case, if I got to the manage songs page on a clean install of your plugin, this is what I see:
