Hey, thanks for the great plugin!

This is now it looks for me:

There are a couple issues that have always been there, I wonder if you can shed any light on them:

    • Why is the “From” value often “0.00”, when the plugin in question has already been updated multiple times via Easy Updates Manager?
    • Why does “Show notes” link give you the installation log, instead of the release notes for the new version? Or at least it could open the plugin information in a modal on the “Development” tab so this information can be easily looked up?

  • Hi @alecrust

    Sorry for the late reply

Thanks for alerting us of the issue where under certain circumstances EUM may report “0.00” value/version in the “From” column. This is due to a bug in the version numbers caching mechanism EUM currently has, and I can say that the current release of EUM still has several bugs in that area. Looking at the attached update logs, I believe what caused the issue is the time hadn’t come for EUM to cache plugin version numbers which updates were available, but the automatic updating operation had already begun. However, we already have the fix for that, and it will be included in the next release.

As for the second question, I believe the installation log is really helpful especially when updating process didn’t give what was expected (i.e. Success status). When failure happens, you can always look at the installation log to find out what the cause is. However, I do like your idea about having release notes appearing on the EUM Update logs page, but instead of replacing the “Show Notes” link with release notes, I think it’d be better if the release notes could be opened via the “To” version column, which means each version number in that column is clickable. I’m not sure whether it’s possible or not but I will add this to our development queue so that the team can do further investigation and look for a chance.

    Thanks
