    Hello,

I have encountered an issue where the Google Search Console does not recognize the internal files of my Sitemap. Although the main file /sitemap.xml is visible and indexed, the internal files, such as those containing product pages, are not detected by Google Search Console. When I submit a product page for indexing or check the status of an already indexed page, the report indicates that there are no referring sitemap files for this page. This significantly hinders the indexing of the site and, consequently, its visibility in search results.

It would be great if you could suggest a solution or update that could help resolve this issue. Perhaps there are some settings or updates in the Yoast SEO plugin that I might have missed?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello @iamwpuser,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. The Yoast SEO-generated XML sitemap index loads at /sitemap_index.xml/, so please ensure that’s what you submitted. Also, the status or data you see in the Google Search Console isn’t in real-time. You need to give some time for all the sub-sitemaps to be processed. If issues need resolving, you will see a specific error to that effect. In the absence of any errors, your sitemaps are still being processed.

your sitemap is a piece of shit, more than two years ago file /sitemap_index.xml/ was added to google search console, zero links found in sitemap by google, but I have 1000 pages in total, in 15 years I never had a problem with my sitemap until I installed your plugin!

And the main thing is that you didn’t forget to insert your fucking link on every page of my site

I had to disable your sitemap file because the pages that I added several months ago are still not in the index
